Are you a student? Do you want to learn how to spend less and get more?
You've come to the right place. :)
Holding down a minimum wage job just to pay the rent, scraping pennies together to buy a greasy lunch, paying bills in the order of who will come after you with the biggest sledgehammer... School is hard, in more ways than the obvious ones. Sometimes people out in the "real world" forget that.
This site was designed to help you make your money go further. We have tips on how to buy your books for less, where to do your banking for FREE, and where you can eat near campus. Find out about free services and discounts available to you. For a starving student, these can be the most valuable lessons.
Student Beware!
Showing you how to make your money go further is not an invitation to spend more of it. A key part of spending smarter is using good judgment. It's hard to teach you that, but we'll do what we can.
Some more tips to start
- Don't buy on impulse. If you won't need to buy it a week from now, you probably never needed to buy it.
- Don't think that because you have a dollar, you should spend a dollar. If you treat the dollar right, other dollars may join it.
- If you're buying something online, google the name of the store and "coupon" before placing the order. That extra 30 seconds can save you a lot of money.
- Don't spend money that you don't have. That way lies badness and indigestion. Unless you win the lottery, at some point down the line you will regret it. And the lottery isn't something to bet on. (Except, of course, for that being the definition of what is is... but you've never really won the lottery, have you?)
